WhoisXML API Ranked #119 in Inc. Regionals: Pacific List 2025
WhoisXML API is proud to be named by Inc. as one of the companies making an impact in the Pacific, specifically ranking 119th in the Regionals list.
The Inc. Regionals lists acknowledge the achievements of private companies in generating sustainable growth and jobs. Making it to the list means the company has had remarkable revenue growth over a two-year period (2021–2023) and met strict revenue requirements during those years.
“It is an honor to be among the 951 companies on this year’s Inc. Regionals list. This achievement is a clear indication that our team’s commitment to providing high-quality cyber intelligence and helping clients enrich their security solutions is paying off, and that we are making significant contributions toward a safer online environment,” says WhoisXML API CEO Jonathan Zhang.
Driving Continuous Growth
In September 2024, WhoisXML API also ranked in the Inc. 5000 2024 Fastest-Growing Companies in America. Since then, we have improved our core products and launched new intelligence solutions and features.
- DNS Chronicle API: A powerful, flexible solution built on our market-leading passive DNS database, enabling access to the DNS history of any domain or IP address. Users can perform forward searches to retrieve historical A and AAAA records for any FQDN, or reverse searches to find all FQDNs associated with a given IP over time.
- First Watch Malicious Domains Data Feed: This predictive threat intelligence offering identifies malicious domains at the point of registration with 97% precision. The data feed significantly enhances threat detection and response, detecting up to 12 times more malicious domains than traditional threat intelligence feeds.
- New wildcard and active fields: We added new output data points to several of our passive DNS APIs to help reduce domain data noise (wildcard field) and determine the status of past domain resolutions (active field).
- New WHOIS History API parameter to enhance response speed: The API now has an optional input parameter called ‘skipLiveWhois’ feature that allows users to turn off live WHOIS API requests when there is no current WHOIS record from the past 24 hours. This makes historical WHOIS lookups faster, especially for security information and event management (SIEM) and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms.
