WhoisXML API Ranks in the Financial Times Top Fastest-Growing Companies in 2025

WhoisXML API is proud to be recognized once again in the annual edition of The Americas’ Fastest-Growing Companies in 2025 by the Financial Times in collaboration with Statista.

This year’s list was based on the revenue growth of the top companies in the Americas between 2020 and 2023, placing WhoisXML API at rank 225, a consistent climb in the past four years. The company secured a spot on the esteemed list—494th in 2022, 436th in 2023, and 359th in 2024.

“Our consistent inclusion in the Financial Times list affirms our growth trajectory. This success is fueled by our commitment to providing market-leading Internet infrastructure intelligence that empower thousands of organizations to operate with confidence and security in the digital world,” says WhoisXML API CEO Jonathan Zhang.

Continuous Evolution and Expansion

Since being recognized in the Financial Times annual list in April 2024, WhoisXML API has made several enhancements to its core products and intelligence solutions. We also released new products that further empower users with comprehensive data solutions and tools. Here are some of the most recently launched products and features.

  • RDAP-ready: When the ICANN officially sunsetted WHOIS port 43, WhoisXML API was already prepared. Our WHOIS API gives users the option to retrieve data through RDAP or WHOIS. We also implemented an automatic fallback mechanism to RDAP in case WHOIS data cannot be retrieved, ensuring users obtain the data they requested.
  • DNS Chronicle API: Leveraging our market-leading passive DNS database, DNS Chronicle API grants users access to a domain’s or an IP address’s complete historical DNS footprint. The tool enables users to perform forward searches (FQDN to IP lookup) and reverse searches (IP to FQDN lookup).
  • First Watch Malicious Domains Data Feed: The newest addition to our predictive threat intelligence offering allows users to detect malicious domains as soon as they are registered with 97% precision. It can detect up to 12 times more malicious domains than traditional threat intelligence feeds, allowing organizations to significantly enhance their threat detection capabilities.
  • New data fields and parameters: Several of our passive DNS APIs were enriched with new “wildcard” fields to minimize data clutter and “active” fields to easily determine the status of past domain resolutions. Meanwhile, WHOIS History API now includes a skipLiveWhois feature, allowing users to skip live WHOIS lookups when no current record exists within 24 hours, resulting in faster historical searches.

For more than 15 years now, WhoisXML API has been committed to driving continuous growth and innovation in the cyber intelligence market and has become a trusted leader in Internet intelligence. We obtain IP, DNS, and domain data through AI-powered global DNS monitoring capabilities and long-term partnerships with major registries and other data aggregators, allowing us to deliver reliable and up-to-date cyber intelligence to thousands of organizations worldwide.
