WhoisXML API Launches Website Categorization API V3

We are excited to introduce Website Categorization API V3, the latest addition to our Website Categorization product line. This innovative release enables more accurate website classification with its enhanced website categorization model and additional output data points.

Specific improvements to this version of Website Categorization API include:

October 2023: Domain Activity Highlights

WhoisXML API researchers analyzed a random sample of 31,000 domains out of the millions registered in October 2023. We identified commonalities in their WHOIS data, registrant countries, registrars, and top-level domain (TLD) extensions.

In addition, we examined the domains' text string usage to discover potential emerging trends. We also used our predictive intelligence sources to identify some of the most imitated brands during the month based on text string usage. The findings of this study and links to threat reports developed using DNS, IP, and domain intelligence sources are summarized below.

Importing NRD2 Data Feed to GCP

The intention of this document is to show you the basics of how to download the WhoisXML API's NRD2 data feed provided by WhoisXML API to a GCP Cloud Storage bucket by leveraging a serverless Cloud Functions.  GCP Cloud Functions acts as a serverless compute service that allows you to write and execute code without provisioning or managing servers.  GCP Cloud Storage is an object storage service for storing and retrieving files.  This document will guide you through the process of configuring both GCP Cloud Functions and a GCP Cloud Storage bucket.

September 2023: Domain Activity Highlights

WhoisXML API researchers studied a randomized sample of 30,000 domains out of the millions registered on 1–30 September 2023. We determined commonalities in their WHOIS data, registrant country, registrar, and TLD.

In addition, we examined the domains’ text string usage to uncover potentially emerging trends. We also tapped into our predictive intelligence sources to determine some of the month’s most imitated brands based on text string usage. This study’s findings and links to threat reports developed using DNS, IP, and domain intelligence sources are summarized below.

Importing NRD2 Data Feed to AWS S3

The intention of this document is to show you the basics of how to download the WhoisXML API's NRD2 data feed provided by WhoisXML API to an AWS S3 bucket by leveraging a serverless Lambda function. AWS Lambda functions act as a serverless compute service that allows you to write and execute code without provisioning or managing servers. AWS S3 is an object storage service for storing and retrieving files. This document will guide you through the process of configuring both AWS Lambda and an AWS S3 bucket.

Importing the Disposable Email Domains Data Feed to AWS S3

The intention of this document is to show you the basis of how to download the disposable email domain data feed provided by WhoisXML API to an AWS S3 bucket by leveraging a serverless Lambda function. AWS Lambda functions act as a serverless compute service that allows you to write and execute code without provisioning or managing servers. AWS S3 is an object storage service for storing and retrieving files. This document will guide you through the process of configuring both AWS Lambda and an AWS S3 bucket.

Newly Registered Domains (NRD2) Coverage Increased by 89% in 2023

As part of WhoisXML API’s efforts to continuously improve its products and services, the coverage and quality of the Newly Registered Domains (NRD2) Data Feed significantly improved over the past months.
